How 3WGR works — start here

New to the app, or new to betting entirely? This is the only page you need to read first. Takes about 4 minutes.

What this app is for

Most sports bets lose because people bet with their gut. 3WGR does the opposite: it uses data — a scoring model, the betting market's own prices, and where the professional bettors' money is going — to find the small number of games each day that are actually worth betting, tell you how much to bet, and when. On most games it will tell you to do nothing. That's the point — patience is the edge.

🎯 The one goal: place small, smart bets where the data shows a real edge — and skip everything else.

Betting words, in plain English

Skip this if you already bet. If you don't, read it once.

Moneyline (ML)
A bet on who wins the game, straight up. This app bets moneylines.
Favorite / Underdog
The favorite is expected to win (its price looks like −150). The underdog isn't (its price looks like +130).
American odds
−150 = risk $150 to win $100. +130 = risk $100 to win $130. Minus = favorite, plus = underdog.
The vig (juice)
The sportsbook's built-in cut. It's why you can't just bet coin-flips and break even — you need a real edge.
Sharp money
Bets from professional, winning bettors. When their money hits a side, it's a strong signal. This app reads it from Action Network screenshots you upload.
Closing line / CLV
The final price right before a game starts. If you bet a better price than the close, you have positive CLV — the single best sign you're betting well, win or lose.
Kelly / bankroll
Your bankroll is the money set aside for betting. Kelly is a formula for how much to stake based on your edge — the app does this for you, keeping bets small.
+EV
“Positive expected value” — a bet that makes money on average over time, even if any single one can lose.

How to read a game card

The number in the circle (1–100) is the model's edge score — higher means the model likes the spot more. 55+ is where bets start.

✅ BET / 🚫 NO BET is the bottom-line verdict, reading every signal together. Trust this over everything else on the card.

The 🎯 BET line tells you exactly what to place: the team, the market, and the dollar amount. That's your bet.

The tier badge shows how strong the bet is, and the app sizes it accordingly:

💎 Premium — everything agrees. Biggest bet.
🔥 Strong — you beat the sharp price. Bigger bet.
Standard — solid model edge. Normal bet.
⚠️ Marginal — thin edge. Small bet or skip.

🟢 Bet Now means lock it in before the price moves against you. 🟡 Wait means a better price is likely coming — hold off.

🔨 / 🔪 Sharp tags show where the professional money is, once you've uploaded a Sharp screenshot for that game.

Your routine — 5 steps

1
Open the Dashboard
It shows today's games. Look for the ✅ BET cards — most games will say NO BET, and that's normal.
2
Load the Sharp screenshot (optional but powerful)
On a game you care about, screenshot the Action Network “Public Betting” or “Signals” view and upload it on the Sharp page. The card re-scores with the pros' money factored in.
3
Read the verdict and the tier
If it says ✅ BET, the 🎯 line tells you the team and the amount. The tier tells you how confident to be.
4
Bet Now or Wait
Follow the timing tag. 🟢 Bet Now = place it. 🟡 Wait = check back closer to game time for a better number.
5
Track it
Hit “Track this bet” on the card (or add it on the Bet Tracker). The app then grades it automatically and learns from it.

Settings — what to set once

Bankroll — the total money you're betting with. Every bet size scales off this. Keep it honest and update it as your balance changes.

Stop-loss — if your bankroll drops to this number, the app stops recommending bets. A safety brake.

My sportsbooks — pick the books you actually use, so the app shows you the best price among them.

Tiered sizing (%) — how aggressive to bet at each strength level. The defaults are sensible; leave them until you have a track record. Higher % = bigger bets on that tier.

The 4 rules that keep you winning

  1. 1. Bet small. The app keeps every bet to a few percent of your bankroll. Never override it upward.
  2. 2. Most days you barely bet. A wall of NO BET is the app protecting you, not failing you.
  3. 3. Judge yourself by CLV, not by wins. Beating the closing line means you're betting well — profit follows over time. One lucky longshot proves nothing.
  4. 4. Follow the verdict. ✅ BET / 🚫 NO BET already weighs every factor. Don't out-think it.
